Videocon Industries Q2 Net increases 33% at Rs 20 cr

Company posted a standalone net profit of Rs 15 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal

Videocon Industries today reported an increase of 32.50% in its standalone net profit at Rs 20.18 crore for the quarter ended September, 2013.

The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 15.23 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, Videocon Industries said in a filing with the BSE.

The company's net standalone sales also increased to Rs 3,176.20 crore in the July-September, 2013 quarter as compared to Rs 3,015.52 crore in the same period a year ago.

Videocon's standalone revenue from its consumer electronics and home appliances segment was Rs 2,795.36 crore as against Rs 2,700.61 crore in the year ago period.
 

The company's revenue in the second quarter from the crude oil and natural gas segment increased to Rs 385.29 crore as against Rs 318.20 crore in the same period last year.
