Voltas net up 33% to Rs 25 crore

Air-conditioning and engineering services provider Voltas Ltd has posted an increase of 33 per cent in its net profit at Rs 25 crore during the second quarter of the current financial year on a total revenue of Rs 540.65 crore.
 
Announcing the result, the company said the positive trends in the economy led to significant growth in its businesses.
 
The company's sales rose by 13 per cent to Rs 540.65 crore during the quarter against Rs 476.10 during the corresponding quarter last year, while PBT rose by 50 per cent to Rs 31.92 crore.
 
The Tata group company also said its international electro-mechanical projects business has witnessed an upward trend in recent times and the expected revenue impact would be seen in the coming quarters.
