City-based Asian School of Business Management has awarded management degrees to 122 students at the institute's seventh annual convocation held recently.

The graduated students were given the Post Graduate Diploma in Management degrees.

Speaking on the occasion Pradeep Singh Kharola, managing director, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation, urged the students to partner the progress of the nation by joining government jobs.

"Public services are expanding day by day and so also are the citizens' expectations. Administration, these days is less of regulation and more of development management. The aspiring managers are most welcome to join the government and become a partner in progress of our nation," he said. Besides, large areas of public services are today open to the private sector. Thus one can become a development manager by joining the corporate world or the nongovernmental organisations, he added.

ASBM Director Biswajeet Pattanayak also spoke on the occasion. The institute has witnessed 100 per cent placement record for the passing out batch and companies like Colgate Palmolive, Red FM 93.5, Tech Mahindra, Lifestyle International, GATI, ICICI Securities, Ceasefire, SBI Life, Bajaj Capital, Chandan Steel, Lifestyle, Future Group, Coast Liners are the recruiters.
