Chhattisgarh placed itself in the International sports map with the inauguration of a hockey stadium.
This would be state's first International Astroturf Hockey Stadium built with a cost of about 22 crore in the district headquarters of Rajnandgaon-the home assembly constituency of state's chief minister Raman Singh. This stadium is spread in a sprawling area of nearly 9.5 acres.
The new hockey stadium if the part of state government's move to bring Chhattisgarh in the sports map at national and international level.
