Heat wave likely to prevail in Telangana for next two days

Most places are likely to record maximum temperature between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius

Heat wave is likely to prevail at most places in Telangana for the next two days including in districts like Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Rangareddy, Khammam, Medak.

"Dry weather is likely to prevail over the state with most places likely to record maximum temperature between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius," an release issued by Indian Meteorology Department said.

"No large change in maximum temperatures over Telangana. They were markedly above normal at one or two places over Telangana. The highest maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius was recorded at Nalgonda," it added.

Heat waves have claimed 35 lives in Telangana so far, prompting the state government to issue alerts in all districts to take precautionary measures to minimise the impact of the prevailing weather conditions, senior official had said yesterday.
