Reversing the trend, recovery from Covid-19 was more at 9,925 than 7,339 new cases registered in Karnataka on Monday.
"With 9,925 patients discharged from hospitals across the southern state, the number of total recoveries rose to 4,23,377 till date since March 8 when the pandemic broke and spread,a said the state health department bulletin.

Fresh cases (7,339) increased the state's Covid tally to 5,26,876, including 95,335 active cases.
With 122 succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours, the death toll across the state rose to 8,145 so far.
In Bengaluru Urban, 2,886 new cases were reported during the day, taking its Covid tally to 1,97,646, including 41,072 active cases, while 1,53,884 were discharged, with 3,536 in the last 24 hours.
With 32 succumbing to the infection in the city, the death toll rose to 2,689 till date.

Of the 809 patients in the intensive care units (ICUs), 259 are in Bengaluru Urban, followed by 93 in Dharwad, 70 in Ballari and 62 in Hassan district.
In districts across the state, Mysuru reported 524 fresh cases, Shivamogga 348, Chitradurga 326, Tumkuru 300, Hassan 268, Dakshina Kannada 233 and Udupi 231.
Of the discharges among the districts, 633 were from Mysuru, followed by Belagavi 441, Mandya 424, Dakshina Kannada 404 and Hassan 296.
