MHRD files affidavit in Delhi High Court

In response to a public interest litigation (PIL) filed through advocate Somnath Bharti at the Delhi High Court against certain provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the ministry of human resource development (MHRD) filed an affidavit justifying the government's actions. The MHRD in the affidavit said the SC in its judgment dated April 12, 2012, has upheld the constitutional validity of the RTE Act.
