B'lore to host electronics fair from Sep 2

Munich Trade Fairs International, organiser of events like Electronica and Productronica, has chosen Bangalore to host electronica-Productronica India September 2-5, 2008.

The show, to be held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, will showcase components, systems and applications for electronics and electronics manufacturing, on an annual basis.

According to Stellv. Geschaftsfuhrer, Deputy Managing Director of Munich Trade Fairs International, the event which was earlier held alongside 'Componex' in New Delhi will now be held independently in Bangalore.

Incidentally, Bangalore hosted Componex before it was relocated to Delhi's Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre in 2004.

Munich Trade Fairs is no stranger to India having organised Componex/electronicIndia since 2000, along with local partners.

Geschaftsfuhrer added that they were also in talks with industry associations such as Manufacturers Associations for IT (MAIT) and Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA).
