BDA adopts SAP for its e-gov initiative

| Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has chosen SAP solutions for its e-governance initiative. |
| Announcing this on Wednesday Alan Sedghi, president and CEO, SAP South Asia said with that the BDA plans to automate and integrate its processes across various departments. |
| For this project, HCL is the implementation partner which is to design, develop, implement and support the integrated management information system. |
| "The e-governance project will integrate the numerous processes and also bring the various divisions on to a common platform, enabling a single-window view for clearance and information updation," said M N Vidyashankar, commissioner, BDA. |
| The deployment of SAP helps us reduce paper work, enhancing productivity, increase customer comfort and transparency and unlimited public interface. This will further empower senior officials to take the right decisions at the right time with ease, thereby optimising on resources reducing, reaction time and enhancing efficiency, he added. |
| "Leveraging our decades of experience in providing solutions to government bodies globally, SAP will enable the BDA in its endeavour to serve the public more effectively and efficiently " said Sedghi. |

Among other countries. In India, SAP has partnerships with over 750 customers, which includes public sector giants such as BPCL, IOCL, ONGC, BHEL, BEL, CIDCO Among others. |
