After his party's recent debacle in the Assembly and Lok Sabha by-elections in Andhra Pradesh, Telengana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao today resigned from the party president post.

However, TRS could win only seven out of 16 assembly seats and two out of the four Lok Sabha seats it had won in the previous elections. </P></p></table>
