CII's session at Vizag on Sept 22

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising programmes on 'Skill Development Initiative', 'Round table on Exports-Vizag' followed by a roadshow at Visakhapatnam on September 22 , 2005.

The skill development initiative programme aims to invite industrialists from several sectors to address unemployed youth being trained by the CII across various sectors, on the skill sets required by them to meet industry requirements.

The 'Round table on Exports-Vizag' will be a follow up of the session held last year on export excellence, and will provide an opportunity for prospective exporters to interact with senior officials from customs, railways, Visakhapatnam Port Trust, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ), Container Corporation of India Limited (Concor) and Visakha Container Terminal Private Limited (VCPTL) to strategise on how to promote Vizag as a gateway to exports.

The roadshow on CII membership will focus on the role of CII as a reference point to the Indian industry, the initiatives taken for growth in Andhra Pradesh and the services being offered by CII to the industry, informed Saugat Mukherjee, head-CII Andhra Pradesh, in a press release.
