Cong-JDS coalition will collapse, says Bangarappa

Former Karnataka chief minister and newly-elected Samajwadi Party MP S Bangarappa on Sunday predicted the collapse of Congress-JD(S) government in view of the defeat of the Congress in the byelections in the state.

"My victory will have impact on the state politics and the coalition government will disintegrate very shortly," a beaming Bangarappa claimed while reacting to his triumph in the bypoll to Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency.

He said the success of Samajwadi Party, which opened its account in south, will promote the formation of a third front in the country.

Congress also lost the Chamarajpet assembly seat which went to the bypoll.
