Drought Control Plan To Limit Farm Damage

Worried about the weak monsoon, the Centre and 12 states today agreed to make an all-out effort to recover the damage by planting shorter-duration and drought-resistant crop varieties in the affected areas.

The agriculture and calamity relief ministers of the rain-deficient states met Union agriculture minister Ajit Singh today. They expressed confidence that the present crisis would be effectively managed.
