FICCI to set up a task force to work with PM's committee

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will set up a task force to work with the high level committee announced by the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The committee will address the current economic crisis.

FICCI is creating a group that will engage with all regional and other trade organizations covering SMEs and exporters. This group will interface with the government committee to seamlessly communicate challenges of SMEs,  exporters in addition to other industry sectors, said a FICCI release.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, President FICCI said: "The committee would see representation from senior officials from Chambers of Commerce, Industry Associations, Exporters, Small, Medium and Large enterprises affiliated to FICCI."

 

The task force will carry out nationwide surveys to assess trends in production, sales, exports, and investments and present the results to the government, said release.
