Govt, JSW to sign agreement to restart work on Aug 9

An agreement to restart work on the Rs 35,000 crore steel project by JSW at Salboni district on August 9, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday.

State Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee and Finance Minister Amit Mitra would be present during the signing of the agreement.

Chatterjee had recently said there had been no construction at the plant site in West Midnapore district since 2007 and a new time frame for project completion had been worked out.
