Haryana to export 8,000 Morrah buffaloes to Bulgaria

Haryana would export 8,000 world-famous Morrah buffaloes to Bulgaria on the request of that country.

"The Bulgarian ambassador had requested us for 8,000 buffaloes, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said in Sonepat on Wednesday while addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of a veterinary polyclinic here.

The polyclinic, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.89 crore, will help identify the diseases affecting animals with modern techniques.

Hooda disclosed that a proposal of Rs 554 crore had been sent to the central government with a view to promote livestock in the state.
