Haryana To Set Up New Gurgaon Sez

The Haryana government will set up a special economic zone in New Gurgaon by the end of this year.
To be named New Gurgaon special economic zone to attract export-oriented units, it will come up at Garhi Harsaru, which falls in the national capital region (NCR).
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 948 crore. The Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC) will invest Rs 38.38 crore.

The state government plans to take a Rs 167.50 crore loan from the NCR planning board or any other financial institution or bank.
The rest of the project cost will be met out of internal generations and sale of plots to entrepreneurs.
According to officials, the site has been identified and work has started to acquire 1,200 hectares of land in two phases. While 800 hectares of land will be acquired in the first phase, 400 hectares in the second phase.
