This was stated by chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, after inaugurating a 33-KV substation at Berli Khurd in Rewari district on Tuesday.

He said besides increasing power generation capacity in the state, the government had given priority to strengthening the power transmission and distribution system so as to supply qualitative power.

The first 400-KV substation has already been commissioned at Kirori village in Hisar district to evacuate power generated at the 1200-MV Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Plant, at Khedar (Hisar).
