India Energy Congress to be held on Feb 6-7

Over 300 professionals to take part in the 'energy security' edition of the meet

The fifth addition of India Energy Congress that will focus on issue of energy security will be held in the national capital on February 6-7.

Among others, the Congress will be addressed by Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah, Minister for Coal Sriprakash Jaiswal, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Minister of State for Power Jyotiraditya Scindia, according to a statement.

The event is being organised by World Energy Council India (WEC India) under the patronage of the Ministry of Power.

Over 300 energy professionals are expected to participate in this edition of the Congress that will look at the issues related to policy and regulation for energy security.

There will be dedicated session on long term energy security, energy security for the poor, energy efficiency, resource allocation and pricing, sustainable sources of energy, and financing challenge.
