Business confidence among India Inc. has stalled as Asia’s third largest economy is battling short-term economic challenges like European debt turmoil and the US slowdown. Indian businesses confidence level decreased 2 points in the Regus Business Confidence Index (from 143 to 141) since April 2012, said a press release issued by Regus.
Regus is the world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces, with products and services ranging from fully equipped offices to professional meeting rooms, business lounges and the world’s largest network of video communication studios.
However, a sharp decline in business confidence index in mature economies is raising a warning flag that global business may face continued volatility for some months to come, the Regus business confidence survey stated.
India, however, fares better, as compared to China, where confidence levels have dipped, falling twenty points in the Regus Business Confidence Index (from 130 to 110) since April 2012.
