J&K farmers get fertilisers

The Jammu and Kashmir government has distributed 2,400 metric tonne fertilisers among farmers in the valley during the last week on the onset of monsoon," an official spokesman said.
 
He added that in the next couple of days, 2,400 metric tonne more fertilisers are expected to reach in the valley through Jakfed and Agro Industries Corporation for distribution purpose.
 
"During the coming week, 500 fertiliser trucks are expected to reach the valley to ensure sufficient availability to farmers in the region," he said.
 
He said 83 trucks of fertilisers would be sent to Anantnag district by Jakfed while for Pulwama 33 trucks, Kupwara and Baramulla 26 trucks and for Budgam 14 trucks would be dispatched.
