MIG-21 on show at Nicco Park

Nicco Park will now have a fighter aircraft, also a first by the Indian Air Force to allow a fighter aircraft to be on display for the civilians.
The MIG-21 fighter aircraft, which was decommissioned at Bagdogra Airbase, will now be visible at Nicco Park, in an attempt to add new attractions to the amusement park.
Visitors will be able to see, touch, feel and actually seat in the cockpit of a MIG-21 Fighter Ground Attack Aircraft at Nicco Park. This will also offer educative entertainment.
MIG-21 fighter aircraft has been commissioned by the Indian Air-force since 1967 for protecting the Indian air space.
The fighter aircraft is 51.71 ft long, with a wing span of 23.46 ft. It can attain a maximum speed of 2230 Km/hr which is twice the speed of sound and has a maximum range of 1160 Km. The weapon system includes a 23 mm canon along with 2 Air To Air Missiles and 4 Infrared Guided Missiles.
Nicco Park, the 40 acre theme park of eastern India, currently offers 25 rides and a water park ‘Wet-O-Wild’.
