MP to follow Super-30, to rope in pvt coaching institutes

Taking cue from ‘Super-30’ programme of Patna, state education authorities will rope in private coaching institutes to shape at least 50 meritorious students from various districts to make them professionals in each sector engineering, medical and finance. State school education department has demanded a fund for the purpose.
This plan has been named as T-50 and once the central government clears deck for funding, state education department will soon float tenders for ensuring coaching to the selected students at private institutes.
“We will arrange all facilities like lodging, boarding and tuition fee for the selected meritorious students so that each of them can join either Indian Institute of Technology, select medical colleges and institutes of chartered accountancy. We will pick at least three students from each district,” said Ashok Barnwal, commissioner public instruction. Established in 2002, the “Super-30” selects 30 meritorious candidates each year from economically backward sections of society and trains them for the IIT-JEE. The state has 6,000 high schools in all 50 districts with faculty shortages.
