The board, to have principal secretaries of finance, revenue, commercial tax, industry, housing and environment and secretary to chief minister as members, would be assisted by a cell in the office of the chief minister.

Affirming the state government's commitment to transform Madhya Pradesh into a prosperous and industrially advanced state, Chouhan said all facilities and relaxations would be ensured to the investors under provisions of industrial promotion policy.

The much talked about single window clearance system would be converted into a single table system to ensure prompt clearances and sanctions for the proposed industries, said the chief minister, who held detailed discussions with industrialists an prospective investors attending the meet.

The meet was informed that investment amounting to Rs 72,778 crore have been received in 93 units.

Chouhan also honoured 28 industrialists who are setting up industrial units and expanding their existing ones.

In his welcome address, State Industries Minister Babulal Gaur said concessions provided to industrialists would continue even after introduction of value-added tax (VAT) from April 1.
