What did you expect from the Budget?

Mr Chidambaram is a very competent guy and I was sure whatever measures he would take would be good for all sections of the country.

But have your expectations been met?

As a performing artiste my concern is always with the TDS they cut from our concert fees and one wishes that this was a little less. There has been a small benefit for individual tax payers and that's welcome though I wish it was a bit more.

But then I guess it is okay to benefit all sections of the society "" from a rickshaw puller to the artistes' community.

How will the Budget impact you personally?

There is a 1 per cent cess on education which may pinch us a little but it is alright to give something back to society.

Education is one area that needs to be really looked into but I hope the money goes to actually benefitting the right people.

There is special provision for Delhi for the Commonwealth Games...

I think that's very good because the concessions will mean better facilities. Just like a family's pride, a country too should have its pride.
