The restriction on trains to travel during night in Maoist-infested areas will remain in force till December 14, instead of the earlier decision to lift it on Saturday, according to a latest release of East Coast Railway (ECoR).
“It has now been decided that the running of passenger trains on Kharagpur-Tata, Kharagpur-Adra & Rourkela-Chakradharpur routes shall continue to remain suspended during night hours between 22:00 hrs to 05:00 hrs and will remain in force till the morning December 14,” the release said.
