Gujarat Assembly's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will suggest to the state government to take steps in protecting the interests of the farmers engaged in sugarcane production. "Tthe committee will study the minute details on prevailing positions after the closure of sugar co-operative factories in the state and privatisation of such sugar factories in other states," the committee's head Mohansingh Rathwa said.
"We'll also see to it that the interests of sugarcane producers are protected," Rathwa added.
