Pranab to open GMR Care hospital

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will be in Rajam in Srikakulam district on Saturday to inaugurate a 135-bed multispecialty hospital jointly set up by GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of GMR group, and Care Hospital. Rajam is the home town of GMR group chairman GM Rao.

The GMR Care hospital, built on a 25-acre site, offers the latest six-slice scanner, digital x-ray, ultra sound colour doppler, fully automatic analyzers for pathology, paediatric neonatal ward and four modern operation theatres including two laminer flow theatres. The non-profit hospital promises treatment at a 25 per cent lower cost compared to other Care hostitals, according to a GMR official.
