Queen Mary II calls at Kochi port

| Queen Mary II, the largest and most expensive luxury liner, made her maiden call to Queen of Arabian Sea, today. |
| The luxury vessel berthed at Q5, Q6 and Q7 berths of Kochi port as part of her maiden world cruise, which began from Fort Lauderdale on January 11. |
| The ship would reach there back on April 2. The ship, which entered the service on January 12 , 2004, offers world class facilities to its travellers on board, including world's first floating planetarium, according to a press release. |
| Queen Mary II has a passenger capacity of 2,620, with 1,310 passenger cabins. The ship is having a crew of 1,300 persons, of which 70 are from India. The 72-metre tall vessel has a total length 345 metre. |
| In India, the sales and marketing interests of Cunard of Britain that owns the prestigious vessel, are being managed by InterGlobe Cruises since 2004. The vessel will sail for Dubai by Thursday noon. Cunard's Queen Elizabeth II has been a regular caller at Kochi and would visit the city on March 23, 2007, the release said. |
