RoC to monitor corporate compliance

BS Reporter Chennai/ Hyderabad
With simplification of procedures, including e-filing of documents, people can start a business within 11 days in the country, said R Vasudevan, regional director, ministry of corporate affairs, here today.

Addressing a meeting in connection with the completion of one year of MCA 21, the e-governance initiative of the ministry that enables companies to file the requisite documents with the Registrar of Companies (RoC) online, Vasudevan said, the response from the companies to the new method was very good.

"Almost 90 per cent of the filings in Andhra has been done through e-filing which indicates the success of the project," he said while adding that some problems associated with e-filing were currently being addressed by the government.
