Sail Reshuffles Top Officials

B K Singh, managing director of Bokaro steel plant of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), has been appointed as director (operations) of SAIL. Singh has taken over from Suresh Pandey, who has now been transferred as managing director of Bokaro steel plant.

The revamp of the board of SAIL in March, with the induction of six new non-official directors, necessitated changes in the functional responsibilities of some of its directors, a company statement said here.

Singh would also hold additional charge of SAIL's R&D Centre for Iron and Steel (RDCIS).

Suresh Pandey, director (operations) would take over as managing director of Bokaro steel plant.

 

S K Bhattacharya, director (RDCIS) has been transferred as managing director, Durgapur steel plant.

Sanak Mishra, executive director (corporate planning) has been posted as executive director in charge of the Rourkela steel plant while Barun Ghosal has been posted as the executive director in charge of Bhilai steel plant.
