Service exports rise 11% in Dec '14

India's service exports rose 11 per cent to $14.3 billion in December 2014 over the same month a year ago.
Service exports during December 2013 stood at $12.9 billion, according to Reserve Bank of India data released on Friday.
Import of services during the month increased 7.7 per cent to $7.2 billion as against $6.7 billion a year earlier.
Total service exports during April-December 2014 stood at $118.06 billion, while imports during the period were at $68 billion.
Services export in FY 2013-14 stood at $167 billion and imports were at $88.2 billion.
The services sector contributes about 60 per cent to the country's gross domestic product.
