Textile park in Kishangarh

In a bid to upgrade the infrastructure and boost the textile industry, the centre would soon set up a textile park at Kishangarh in Rajasthan's Ajmer district.

To be set up under the central government's integrated programme initiated in August 2005, the project would be over by 2006 and would provide employment to nearly five lakh people, official sources said here today.

The centre has approved a total of nine such parks with an investment of Rs 873 crore.
