The Congress party today released names of 71 candidates in the second phase who will contest Lok Sabha polls across the country. The names of six candidates from Odisha figure in the list including those of three sitting MPs.
The party candidates from the state in the current list are Hemananda Biswal (Sundergarh), Amar Pradhan (Sambalpur), Pradeep Majhi ( Nabarangpur), Harihar Karan (Kandhamal), Shyamsunder Hansda (Mayurbhanj) and Bhakta Charan Das (Kalahandi). In the first phase, the party had announced candidates list for nine Lok Sabha seats from the state.
