Bharat Overseas opens branch

Bharat Overseas Bank Limited (BOBL) has opened its branch in Rajahmundry, its ninth branch in Andhra Pradesh.

The Rajahmundry branch also houses 'BOBL Retail Shoppe', a one- stop financial shop wherein the bank offers retail banking facility as well as para-banking services. BOBL proposes to open three more branches in the state by March 2006.

Bank's chairman and chief executive officer G Krishna Murthy said, BOBL will be expanding its branch network from the existing 99 to 110 by the end of the current fiscal.

The bank will be opening its 100th branch at Kilpauk in Chennai shortly.
