BoR bottom line rises 43%

Private-sector lender Bank of Rajasthan (BoR) today announced a net profit of Rs 34.63 crore for the second quarter ended September 2008, a 43.33 per cent rise over the numbers in the corresponding period a year ago.

The bank had a net profit of Rs 24.16 crore for the second quarter of FY08, BoR said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The total income rose to Rs 365.43 crore in the current quarter under review from Rs 278.14 crore in the same quarter last year. For the six months ended September 2008, the bank posted a net profit of Rs 65.56 crore against Rs 54.33 crore in the same period a year ago.
