Idbi Officers Miffed Over Promotion Policy

The Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) has promoted five general managers to chief general managers.

The five general managers who have been promoted to CGMs are D B Anantha Narayanan, AV Rammurthy, D K Kambale, H S G Shetty and S N Baheti. Of these, AV Rammurthy is expected to take over the post of CGM research and planning which was last held by Kameshwar Rao before he was promoted to the post of an executive director in February. He, however, retired after being made the ED.

The institution had called in 12 general managers for the interview. There has been disenchantment among IDBI insiders as five senior general managers have not found suitable for promotion; they have been superseded.

 

The senior GMs who had been superseded are S Andi, Siby Antony, K Vishwanathan, MM Yasaw and TG Mirchandani. Yasaw has been superseded twice in recent times.
