The government securities market opened on an upbeat note, but witnessed heavy profit-booking by players across tenors.

The ten year benchmark 9.81 per cent 2013 closed at 5.7150 per cent. The 7.46 per cent, 2017 bond ended at Rs 119.80

Call rates closed around 4.90-5.00 per cent.

Liquidity was comfortable with repo subscriptions hovering around Rs 23,000 crore.
