Nhb To Divest Stake In Housing Finance Firms Through Float

The National Housing Bank (NHB) has decided to scrap the buyback route to divest its holding in half-a-dozen-odd housing finance companies (HFCs) it helped cultivate in the early 1990s.
Instead, the regulator of housing finance firms will dilute its holding in these entities via initial public offerings (IPOs).
