Rupee Swings Southward, Short Gilts Rear Up

The rupee ended last week almost 20 paise weaker at 46.2550/2650 per dollar.
There were two reasons for this: public sector banks initially sucked out the greenbacks on the expectation that the American unit will appreciate due to the strong outlook on the US economy and then came the Reserve Bank of India
