The State Bank of India (SBI) has extended its internal communication exercise to its employees in Karnataka.

The programme, 'Project Parivartan', is aimed at sensitising each employee of the bank's transformation and energising them to be the change agents with focus on customer service.

Rolled out nationally on July 16, the two-day training programme will be completed in 100 days. In the first phase, the programme will take the form of a workshop and cover all employees below the rank of assistant general manager.

The multi-level communication programme will cover 5,579 employees in Karnataka across 330 branches, Mahpara Ali, chief general manager, SBI Bangalore Circle, said.

Some 1,150 employees have already been trained under the programme in the state.

In the Bangalore circle, the workshops are initially being conducted at the learning centres in Bangalore and Dharwad.
