SBI strike on June 29

| The award staff union at State Bank of India (SBI) "" SBI Staff Association has decided to go on a one-day strike on June 29 to protest the transfer of 80 employees in 56 branches of the West Bengal Circle. |
| The transfers were allegedly in violation of SBI's rules. |
| The transferred employees have refused to report at the new location. |
| SBI staff staged a 'dharna' in front of branches. |
| "It would continue till they are absorbed at the same branch," said Ashok Dutta, general secretary of the SBI Staff Union. |
