BMA seminar on industrial environment

| City-based Baroda Management Association (BMA) is planning to bring the office bearers of trade unions, human resources executives of private and public sector industries and institutions and government representatives on one stage through a two-day seminar. |
| The participants will deliberate on the 'Role of trade unions in changed scenario for achieving excellence and happiness'. |
| The seminar to be held on December 17 and 18 at Vadodara, aims to bring representatives of all three stakeholders on one stage to suggest improvements in industry environment so that these become more competitive. |
| "As an important stakeholder in the business of a company, trade unions will play a vital role in the coming years in bringing about this transformation, through a change in their role, practices and agenda. During the two days, eminent personalities from industry, trade unions and government will share their experience and frame the future course of action," said G U Shriniwar, president, BMA. |
| From corporate world, D B Nimbalkar, vice-president, HRD chief of Transpeck- Silox Industry Ltd, and A Nadkarni, director-personnel of Siemens Ltd, will participate in the seminar. |
| Additional labour commissioner A K Basin and Sanat Mehta, former MP, will chair the seminar. |
| The working president of Telco Employees Union Sujit Patil, general secretary of Siemens Employees Union U S Mahale and P Chidambaram, president - Gujarat Mazdoor Panchayat, will represent the trade unions. |
