Our Corporate Bureau Mumbai
The 202-year-old US-based company DuPont has decided to make India the launch pad for its products worldwide. DuPont is planning to roll out products worldwide once they are tested in India.

Leading the worldwide launch, DuPont India has unveiled Teflon Sign Solutions, a unique three-layered signage system. This initiative will be rolled out in Asia Pacific, US and European markets later.

Recently, The Solae Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont, launched its first-ever global consumer brand 'Soy day' in the country.

Upal Roy, business manager, DuPont Fluoroproducts, EI DuPont India, said: "We will launch several new products in the country. India could be knowledge hub for Asia Pacific region".

Meanwhile, DuPont India is targeting the $40 million corporate identity market with its three-layered signage system, DuPont Teflon Sign Solutions.

It is holding talks with several private oil and gas companies who are entering the retail market as well as banks and financial institutions. Moreover, the product is also targeted at high-end retail stores and telecom companies.

R Prakash, market development manager, Fluoropolymer solutions, Asia Pacific, EI DuPont India said: "India has a highest growth potential and we are developing the brand. Our aim is to have a market approach for the product for customised service".

DuPont's focus will be on Indian corporate identity segment which is dominated by the unorganised sector. Prakash pointed out that "the company will be offering an end-to-end signage solution with warranty. The solution will avoid the hassle of dealing with multiple vendors for retail segment".
