Seminar on new paradigms for India's competitiveness from Aug 28

The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) is organising its 17th annual convention "" Management 2025 "" New Paradigms for India's Competitiveness "" in Hyderabad from August 28-30, 2005.
 
The thrust of the convention will be on services, environment, manufacturing, agricultural and social sectors.
 
Addressing mediapersons, V Panduranga Rao, vice-chancellor of The ICFAI University and the president of AIMS, said, "The three-day session will have plenary, technical and general sessions besides case study competitions for faculty members and a student papers contest."
 
AIMS is a national network of management schools comprising 400 members out of the 975 B-schools in India.
 
Some of the speakers who have been invited for the convention include Jagdish N Sheth from Goizueta Business School in USA, Pradip Baijal, chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Ranjana Kumar, chairperson of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard), Dan LeClair, vice-president of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, an accrediting agency for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programmes in business administration and accounting.
 
Around 180 people have already registered themselves for the convention and according to Rao, they are expecting 500 participants for the event.
 
"We will also be giving the Ravi J Mathai National Fellowship Award that involves a citation and a medal besides a cash prize, at the convention," he added.
