Barley futures regains on short covering

Barley futures prices recovered by Rs 9.20, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 1,288 per quintal today, following fresh buying by traders after yesterday's sell-off.
Marketmen said low-level buying by traders, mainly pushed up barley futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, barley for the delivery in November went up by Rs 9.20, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs.1288 per quintal, with an open interest of 11,360 lots.
Delivery for December contract also moved up by Rs 6.20, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 1,304 per quintal, with an open interest of 650 lots.
