Cardamom surges 0.93% on high demand

Sentiment improved further on account of firm spot market demand

Cardamom futures for February rose by Rs 9.50, or 0.93%, to Rs 1,030 per kg in 593 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCx), the March contract also up by Rs 9.10, or 0.85%, to Rs 1,069.70 per kg in 194 lots.

Prices rose as speculators enlarged their positions amid thin arrivals.

Sentiment improved further on account of firm spot market demand.

Strong domestic, export demand influenced cardamom futures trade.
