Castorseed futures down on profit booking

Castorseed prices moved down by Rs 97.50 to Rs 5,130 per quintal in futures trading today following heavy selling by traders at existing higher levels. 

Market analysts said all round selling driven by weak spot markets sentiments kept the futures transactions under pressure to some extent.  

At National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed prices for delivery in April declined by Rs 97.50, or 1.87%, to Rs 5,130 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,270 lots.

Similarly, castorseed prices for delivery in May fell by Rs 80, or 1.54%, to Rs 5,125 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 6,880 lots.
