Chana futures up on spot demand

In restricted activity, chana prices rose by Rs 19 to Rs 2,420 per quintal in futures trading today, as speculators enlarged their holdings, supported by pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, chana for December month rose by Rs 19, or 0.79 per cent to Rs 2420 per quintal in single lot.
Market analysts said pick up in demand in the spot market in view of marriage season, led to the rise in chana prices at futures trade.
