Copper rises 0.2% on global cues

Prices rose as speculators enlarged positions

Copper futures for April rose by 70 paise, or 0.16% to Rs 451 per kg in 1,028 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the February contract traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.13% to Rs 445.75 per kg in 8,736 lots.

Prices rose as speculators enlarged positions.

Speculation of a recovery in demand in China triggered firm trend in overseas markets.

On the London Metal Exchange (LME), the three months' contract gained 0.2% to $8,253.25 a tonne.
